Young Breast Cancer Survivorship Network

Oasis is part of an inter-professional collaborative partnership focused on improving quality of life of young breast cancer survivors. The Young Breast Cancer Survivors Network (YBCSN) initiative in the UAB School of Nursing is a program supported by the Women’s Breast Health Fund of the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham. YBCSN provides free counseling services to young breast cancer survivors and their families through a partnership with Oasis.

Individual, couples, and family counseling, as well as Art Therapy, are available for adolescents and adults. Play Therapy is available for Children ages 3-12 years old. Partners in this endeavor include the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen, UAB Supportive Care and Survivorship, and Baptist Medical.
